Tuesday 3/28

Rained hard last night. I’m glad I had batten down the hatches last night before coming in. It was cold and rainy this morning and I rolled out of bed (literally ) close to 9:00am.

The facilities (sink – FV toilet-cold water) are nice and clean so I hustle down there to take care of my business. What? A bus, a yellow school bus full of kids is parked in front of the bathrooms!This would be fine if I had known it. But once my mind is in that mode, it is hard to hold back. In I go, 3 kids. They clear out fast once I head for the shitter, for whatever reason.

Gosh today I did a little house cleaning, cleaned the inside of the truck from all the red dust. Vacuumed the cab of the truck, Armor-All it. FOUND the patch kit. Still just pumping up the tire tho’. Took a short jaunt down the trail for tomorrow, Holly Ruins. It’s 8 miles round trip. There is another set 1-1/2 miles past Holly. My plan is get to Holly, see how I’m holding up then decide. Certainly not a lot of elevation loss & gain. Yes I’ll be careful.

Walked down to the ruins this evening at sunset. Got a late start, ’cause it was windy and cold and the little baby wasn’t going to go. Had a safety meeting about it and got going! The sunsets have been ……. nothing really, other than the very first night in Idaho. It’s all good stuff tho’.
