Decided to wait till 10:00 to check on Bill’s progress. I’m a short bike ride from the dealer. My tush is sore from from ride yesterday. Had a tiny bit of cramping yesterday evening. I know I didn’t do the best job hydrating. I made it to 8:30 before I headed over.

Of course nothing yet. But Harry the salesman / know it all wanted to know the protocol we were going to follow and talk to the mechanic. Kid about you kids age. Braxton. Had the answers I needed felt comfortable we were on the right track to solving the problem. TL;DT turns out there was a inside piece to some sort of additive cap that had been dropped in the tank and finally got sucked in to the pick up tube in the fuel tank. I haven’t added anything but fuel so I not responsible. Be that as it may, when they brought it in and said “did I use additives?” I looked at it and said “are you shittin’ me” with enthusiasm. S!O!B! What ARE the chances?

Positives: IT HAPPENED WHERE IT HAPPENED!!! I have been some places it would not of been pretty.
It happened.
The problem wasn’t a breakdown per se.

Finally around 4:00 I pay and head to where I was going the day before. Life goes on. Laundromat then market then fuel then out to the BLM land I had camped at before. IT WAS SO NICE TO BE BACK IN THE BEHEMOTH! Beer was still cold, had a light dinner and sleep good. This wasn’t my most favorite day.

But rollin’ tomorrow to Chiricahua National Monument and finally turn west seriously. Side Note: Johnson Brothers GMC did a great job of fitting Bill into their tight schedule, solving the problem and dealing with me sitting in their laps all day.
