Monday 4/17
Nice day for a boat ride. John has a nice smaller inboard. Perfect for this area. There is a LOT of boat ramps. Like all the boat ramps in Montana and half of Idaho’s. We went thru one of the arches on the London Bridge and upriver. Lots of cat tails and bass fishing. Very scenic and it is always nice to be in a boat. Beautiful rock formations.
I was sitting in the back and the way we navigated was John would be turned backwards talking to me and Jana would tap him on the knee when you she saw a potential problem, John would take a quick look and react..or not. I thought it worked real well. We had a great conversation…and some good throttle-downs.
The stories I heard about July 4th / holidays it is shore to shore boats. You could walk from one shore to the other on boats! There are lots of cigarette boats. BIG boats with tons of horsepower. Lots of pontoon boats and fishing boats. A few jet skis but way more boats. One sail boat. Boaters are why Lake Havasu City exists. Lots of California plated trucks pulling BIG boats.
It was a super day doing some different things. I enjoyed myself. Went out to dinner and then sat on the patio to bs. I ended up with a very nice Fenwick 2pc 6′ fly rod, Pfleugar reel and case. Thank you John!! Picture with first fish. I plan on visiting next time ready to fish for bass!
Off tomorrow.
