Saturday 1/20

Change of plans. Light rain this morning, low 40s. Decided to stick to the interstate past Las Vegas to Baker, then take “Kelbaker” Road thru the Mojave Preserve.This will end up in 29 Palms which is NW of Allan&Bev’s. I haven’t pooped since Tuesday…..hopin’ I could of got it taken care of at Kevin&Cathys. Gave it a shot but no deal. Had my coffee this morning and by Primm, which is on the California/Nevada border, I thought I could make it happen. Went into the casino, found the bathroom and, yea baby.
I was feeling rather good after the movement and mistook it for feeling lucky. It was the most expensive dump I had in awhile.
Back to the interstate and “California here I come”. Fueled in Baker and got HOSED! $4.35 diesel. Oh well “Welcome to California” Got on Kelbaker road and finally said to myself, yep, this is what I need. Followed all the way to Calif 62. About 70-80 miles I think. Part of it follows old Route 66 thru Amboy. Nice. But back to reality and Hwy 62 to Interstate 10 to Allan&Bev’s. I’ll be here for a couple of days. Talked to Bob Gaughen and have a golf date for Wednesday at Tahquitz in Palm Springs.
