Wednesday 1/24

Wednesday 1/24

Up early. Left Cottonwood 6:45am. Golf is @ 10:00. It’s about 45 minutes to the course but I want to chip and putt plus hit a bucket. It is a beautiful morning. Bill and I idle our way towards the Interstate. The sun is shining and I really haven’t had a the opportunity to enjoy enough sun. There is a short nature hike ( ½ mile ) that I really enjoy so I decided to stop, walk and enjoy the morning, plenty of time. Hop in Bill and head to the Interstate. About a mile from the on ramp, a girl with a pair of jumper cables is standing by the side of the road. Of course I stopped, drove back off the road a couple hundred yards and sorted it out. Older oldsmobile. She had a nose piercing and him a bunch of tatoos. Typical California campers I think…AT least they had jumpers!

Okay, now lets go. Hit the Interstate put Bill @ 60mph, GPS all ready, and before you can say Dinah Shore I was there. Not the start I anticipated but it was only 9:00 so still enough time. $79.00 with cart and breakfast. Tahquitz Resort Course. I would like to say I shot a 82…. my driver was long & straight 80% of the time. I had a few pars on the back and birdied par5 18th. The front, high 50’s, the back high 40s. Boys, you might have been able to get me today. We had a great time. Bob G hit the ball very well for a cripple. Jake, you know his game. At the end of the day, I’m fired up about golf. I hit some nice shots.

Bob is moving back to Billings 2/5. I am bring his Sun Mountain cart back with me. It will have a nice story to tell about it’s adventures when Bob get’s it back. Headed back to Allan&Bev’s tonight. Stopped for a In&Out burger! Yuma tomorrow.
