Tuesday 2/13

Weather doesn’t look good in Austin or the gulf. I’ve decided to head back to Big Bend area. I’m a couple hundred miles from Austin or the gulf. No sense fighting wind and rain all the way there and then after i get there….Talked to Uncle J this morning, told him i would see him 1st of the month, no matter what. Said weather wasn’t great in Austin. Looks like the big empty is mostly sunny.

Saw a propane vendor on my way into Del Rio. Fill with propane, load up on groceries, gloves, 1# propane,bike pump,AA batteries, water bottle. Raided my golf bag hoping i had put my golf gloves back, but pretty sure i hadn’t. Nope, found another stocking cap and a full set of rain gear.

I want a campsite with both hiking and bike riding capabilities, view but secluded, a spring or well within hiking range, …that ‘ll work.

Overcast today and breezy. Been out doing some battery maintenance and put the Yamaha back on line for a hour. Scrambled eggs with salsa for breakfast and I’m drinking a cuppa. Still haven’t found that decal for the teacup, Allie.

It will be a easy first day going back to BBNP. Going to spend another night at Seminole Canyon about 40 miles away. It’ll take the whole morning to get reloaded to go. Leave plenty of time to do some more exploring. A fishing i ago.

Been fishing for bass. Using either a Texas rigged plastic worm or a diving crank bait. Not a bit, nor a peep of a fish. Breezy out. Fished for a hour or more, mostly walking around on the limestone from spot to spot. I could be fishing for whales as much as I’ve seen anything.

Okay tomorrow load up and head to Seminole Canyon. Good night.
