Saturday 2/17

Gosh, over a month on the road today. I have reread January’s posts. Not enough adventure. Not enough golf. Oh well, I’ll try harder to have fun. This morning dawns bright and chilly. 56. I had to put on long pants and a heavy shirt. No heater tho. I have been sleeping with the door of the schooner open. The screen door closed but the door open. It’s been that warm.
Just hung out this morning. The latch for the door for the sewer hose hasn’t latched since i got it. Always been a small green cord to keep it shut. Spent some time thinking about it and looking at it and cleaning it then didn’t force anything but bent it back to where it should of been. Latch! A small victory. Double-checked under the hood, looked at the tires,cleaned the windshield, etc.

Decided to throw some shrimp down the feeding line of the spot i was at yesterday. Pole, stick REI hat and the necessities. It is a nice spot. Perfect spot for the morning. I systematically attack the water. Not a god damn twitch. It’s close to one when i head back. Roast beef sandwich and raisins for lunch.

I lay pretty low when it gets hot. I have a nice fold-up recliner/lounger. Read most of the afternoon in the shade and walked down to the river about 5. Made the whole loop around the CG. Fairly rustic.Back to the schooner for Angus beef burgers and fried potatoes. Cooked outside, listened to some Kid Rock and read some more. One more day here, then 3, hopefully, in BBNP and then head towards Austin. I have to refill prescriptions again and i just as soon do it in Austin. 9 o’clock bedtime, good night.
