Sunday/ Monday /Tuesday 2/25-27

The schooner is off Bill, powered-up, and fully functional. May have to reload propane before i leave. Switched the refrigerator over to AC and it seems to functioning correctly. So i have 120v power plus the batteries are being charged and maintained. The schooner is very stable and using the front bed is no problem. I have slept as good on this trip as i have ever slept. Nice. That’s what innocence will do for you.

Uncle J and i are on the same Newman wave link. We come and go like ships passing in the night. I want to get a train whistle so i can hoot at him as he passes. He also has a project list! You know me. I like to earn my keep. Did some electrical today for him, his KS faucet needs tightening, he has a Kohler electronic flush toilet that the battery pack was sitting on the lav when i first used the toilet. A couple of things at ATA need fixin’, so I’m content for awhile.

Bought “Best Hikes Near Austin & San Antonio” should be some good walking! I’ve had the bike out and about in Bee Cave, the little town close to ATA. Not little. More commercial areas in this “little” town then all of Missoula combined, Mall, N Reserve, downtown. But the pop. Is like 6000. Wall to wall city for….50-60 miles, i think a million people in the megalopolis of Austin. LOTS of traffic.

This may also be the Yoga Pant epicenter for Texas. Big, small, young, old, too old, trim, not so trim, not so not so not so trim, . Goodness gracious. Lots of Porsches in the area also.. I’ve seen lots of 911s….. do lots of Porsche’s mean a lot of yoga pants….

Rained today, tomorrow should be partly cloudy. Got to 80 today. Bill likes not having the schooner on. I went to Inner Space Caverns today with ATA kids. 20 kids from maybe, 12 years thru 18 years old or so. It’s a bit different then inter-reacting with 6 year olds. Their voices are soft, they don’t look at you when they talk, i struggled a bit. These are caverns discovered in the 60s when they where building the interstate, I35. BIG. They kept losing drill bits so drilled a 24” hole and lowered a guy into the caverns. Texas Dept of Highways. How many more undiscovered caves do we have?

I went to CVS to filled 5 prescriptions yesterday. IT wasn’t pretty. I don’t understand why this always is a problem. CVS in Palm Springs called me today to say my prescriptions were ready. You know the chances of me holding the phone right in my hand and it ringing AND me answering it? Ya, but that’s what happened. I said,”WHERE you calling from? Palm Springs he says. I said, I’m not driving from Austin to Palm Springs to pick them up, he said WHERE? Oh dear, so TL:DR i got a 30 day supply instead of 90 so I’ll have to go thru this one more time before i get home. Going to post tonight, might be a few days before i post again. Good night.
