Thursday/Friday 3/15-16

Ah, a day off does wonders for my energy levels. Off to Willie Nelson’s golf course in Spicewood Texas. About 15 miles away. The course is like Willie, rough. Lots of doglegs, narrow, no i mean NARROW. Nine hole, up and down. Walked it. Only one there! Played up to 4 balls at a time. Got rid of all the balls in my bag that didn’t want to hang with me, so i don’t have any slackers left.( i hope anyways )Really no sense putting, to rough.

Willie has a recording studio right there and someone was working it pretty hard & loud. Interesting.

Headed back to the schooner and UJ and hung out and read.
Warm, in the 80’s. Yea, baby! Tried out the AC in the schooner! Works fine. Dropped the inside 5 degrees in 1/2 hour.

Golf Friday at their home course. This will be the third time for me. Starting to remember it better…except 9 & 18 greens are next to each other. Hit a beautiful shot at 9 to within 3’ of the pin…except it was #18 green. They liked the shot so they let me play it on 18. Oh well. Hit the ball good and bad. My irons were good, my driver was bad.

Got back to ATA and parts are in! Got the clay courts all working correctly, filled in all the holes i had dug and got his string trimmers reloaded with string. Done. UJ is heading to Houston for a tourney so i headed to the schooner to get it back on Bill and get ready to leave in the morning. Got a load of wash done and took another shower. Abilene State Park here i come.
