Sunday 9/16

Overcast this morning, mid 40’s. After yesterday’s low 30’s a pleasant morning. Decided to make sure the water heater was by-passed and drained. Nope! The 3-way valve was putting water into the heater no matter which way i turned it. Hmmmm, was getting ready for a major plumbing project when better sense stepped up and decided this wasn’t the place or time for this project. Sat and looked and decided I could disconnect the water heater and still have water. Unfortunately i wasted 3-4 gallons of water making that happen. This will make me be water wise till i can refill, most likely a couple of days.

Off i go about 10:00 slow poking it down NF218 looking for places to fish. Nothing much happening from a fishing point of view but damn if i didn’t find a fresh water fill spot at Upper Landing! Good karma. Added 10 gallons of fresh water! Good to go.

Hit Avery Ranger Station and hello civilization! Speed limit went to 55 mph and got passed by a car. First car i run into while i was moving. I should of backtracked but it was still 48 miles to St Maries. Reminded me of HWY 12 without the semi-truck traffic.

Everything is starting to close for the season, hmmmm, stopped at Marble Falls and decided to head up to a CG 5 miles up NF 321. I didn’t read the description very good….two sites only! Both filled. I have this nifty app “AllStays” that shows all the camping areas. Very handy! Went another couple of miles and wild camped on the side of the road. Tried fishing but nothing going on. So i napped and read the afternoon away. Should be traveling at a decent pace starting tomorrow and most likely have cell coverage. Been 5 days since I’ve checked in. I’m alive Allie!
