Thursday 9/13

Cold and overcast this morning. A bit of fog. Started on a walk with sweatshirt and vest in a pair of jeans. Got about 100 yards and headed back for long underwear, jacket, stocking cap and gloves. The paved road runs right along the river so i went back west looking for fishing spots. A couple of trailheads that go north up canyons. Thought about it, but i was wearing my crocs. I have the best fishing site right out my door!! Went about a mile and saw nothing like what i had.

I’ve been eating oatmeal with my coffee in the morning to buffer this new rhythm drug. We’ll see. The Lil’ Buddy heater has been getting a work out. Used one 1# canister drying clothes and staying warm. I think i have my cpap figured out from a power point of view. Used 10% of my battery last night, that’s good! I’m in a canyon and it’s overcast so the solar idea hasn’t worked. Glad i put the generator in.

Fished and napped the day away. Never got a bite till 5:00pm. I had a pig on, on a Copper John dropper but….. knot pulled lose on the hopper end. Tied another one on (my last) and caught a really nice 16”. Then i lost my last Copper John when i was tying on another PMD and couldn’t find the dropper. GD it. My shoulder is sore from casting.

I’m reading “The Dog Stars “ by Peter Heller. One of you boys gave it to me at Christmas a few years ago. I started it a couple of times over the years but always put it down. Nope, got me now. Really enjoying it.

Think I’ll move tomorrow, not sure where. My Idaho fishing license is good till Monday so not too far. Mid 50’s today and overcast all day. Brrrr on the hands fishing. Hopefully sun tomorrow.
