Sunday 11/4
Lazy day. Turned the clocks back last night so early start to do…nothing. This site is in a bit of a canyon but i can see that the sun is going to shine. The forecast is cloudy with wind. The wind is part of the reason I’m staying here instead of moving up into the Columbia River Gorge. I’m about 40 miles south, just outside Maupin, Oregon. It’s breezy and probably going to be in the mid-50s.
Got the bike down and functional and thought about getting the solar out but the wind can be gusty at times. Bike riding will be easy/hard. Down grade, wind at my back to begin with and uphill and wind in my face coming back. A very nice road to ride on with the grade following the river. The wind at my back means not much peddling. If it wasn’t so windy i would of gone 5-6 miles down river to a rapid that was BIG but knew it was going to be a bugger coming home. And it was! Little sprocket front/big sprocket rear and the wind could still almost stop me. Not a good bike riding day Charlotte and Harper!
Spent the rest of the day hanging out, walking, reading and napping. Tomorrow the adventure picks up! Good night.
