Got rollin by 10am.Canyonlands NP visitor center first, then a nice cruise. The views are big and wide. Every canyon looks interesting. This is the “Needles” section. Lots of jagged pinnacles surrounding us. Great views, great walks and maybe a good picture or two. Two trekking poles is becoming the norm. I got some good exercise. I did tweak my right knee, riding the bike. Real sore with any kind of twisting of the knee. But it doesn’t seem to affect, nor really hurt, while walking. Didn’t overdo it and got back, read a bit, napped a bit. Walked to the top of the mesa for the sunset again.

Thinking I’ll end up in Moab. The other part of Canyonlands NP is called “Island in the Sky” section. Need to go north to get access and that will take me thru Moab. I’ll use it as a pit stop, do laundry, grocery, fill propane and dump my tanks. I’ll be here tomorrow doing a bit of exploring but should be heading back into coverage Wednesday. Pretty slow day activity wise but massive visual day. I’m tired, good night.
