Tuesday 10/15

Thirty days on the road. Seen some interesting stuff. Some beautiful country. Colorado high country stands out. Not sure of total mileage but I can come close. I know this, I would rather fill twice at $35 than once at $70. I like the way Bill just glides down any road it’s on. I like the roads that you can cruise at 35mph for miles without hindering traffic. I like a good hike. I like potatoes.  Oh and I like these Falken WildPeak tires. They hold the road and have done well in the dirt.

Drove Bridger Jack Mesa backroads today. No different than any shitty forest road. Passable, just slow and easy. Forded a small stream a couple of times and finally turned around when it was going to get real scratchy on the schooner. Found 4-5 nice campsites. BLM land, no charge. Pleasant drive up the canyon. I like free. I’ll remember. It’s only 7-8 miles from Superbowl CG at $7.50. First 5 miles maybe 6-8 campsites being used. After that pretty wide open.

Got back, had a black forest ham w/tomato onion on a bagel with chips and some olives. Decided it’s okay to lay on my bed in the afternoon to think about what I’m going to do. Even if it’s take a nap. But I didn’t nap today I got up and hiked to the top of the mesa than out the entrance road a couple of miles. But  I don’t think the rings will close on Jonathan today. Too much driving not enough walking.

Tomorrow Moab and housekeeping chores and end up at Island in the Sky, the other section of Canyonlands NP. That will be nice. Laundry, shower, propane, market, dump tanks, update TTRLT. Gosh, no more slack ass, business day tomorrow. Good night.
