Left Big Bend about 10:30am headed back towards Moab. Goose Island CG is where I would like to stay as the bike path along the river can be entered from there. Three open sites. Nothing on the river side. Not a spot I would normally take but location, location.  Pluck down my $5 and #8 is mine for the night. Get the bike down and peddle the bike path towards Moab but actually a park called Lion Park that has a lot of bike paths. Nice paved path like Grant Creek’s, but level. Unfortunately Moab business center runs for 10-15 miles along side US191 with no bike paths but crowded sidewalks.

I drove into Moab to get a knee brace and experienced a Utah traffic jam. Everyone going home on Sunday morning thru Moab. As you leave the city heading north towards the interstate to SLC or Denver it goes from two lanes to one lane. Cake, going to get the brace. Pretty slow going  back to Goose Island. All in all, I should of stayed at Big Bend.

Tomorrow, road trip up thru Castle Valley and the backway into Moab. Oh Allie, notice the decal on my backdoor window, looks a lot better. The piece that looked loose was to be removed! I  wonder how many people saw that and shook their heads?

I think I will start heading south again tomorrow. There has been a chill in the air that I don’t particularly care for. Still in that 6-7 thousand foot level. Need to get down to 4000′ or lower, that means south. Good night.
