Another slow moving day. A little reading, a little napping, a little walking. Seems to be a butterfly day. Lots of butterflies. Campground cleared out by two or so. From 30-40 sites occupied to 6 or 7.
Walked up the hillside to see if I could get some coverage. Got 1 bar extended. Which means I can get text but not pictures or internet. The problem hiking these hillsides is they are really thorny. Here if you brush something you pay the blood price, which I did. Started the third George RR Martin book. Been listening to a Louis Lamour cowboy book on tape. Situated in the Arizona desert. Tell Sackett is the hero. Bad ass.
Tomorrow I move out of the canyon and head back to Lake Roosevelt. Get a shower and visit a local cliff dwelling. There is a Dam Interpretive site on the way out that has WIFI! My plan is to up date the blog and Apple has a couple of updates for my phone and ipad that has to be done on Wifi. We’ll see how powerful it is. Still deciding when to head west. I might go down to Safford and camp in a NWR site I’ve used before. Might even swing the clubs. Good night.
