Another mild night. I’m sleeping with a lot less pajamas and blankets on. I like when there is a breeze and it blows thru the schooner’s bed. My circadian clock is adjusting to sunrise and sunset. Been in bed about eight and awake at daybreak. It’s dark at 6pm and sunrise about 7am. Doesn’t mean I get up, it means I get the pleasure of rolling over and dozing for another hour or so.
My knee is feeling better. I’m still on restriction but this morning did two miles and the afternoon, the same. Ran into a cowboy on both hikes looking for some cows. Driving a Honda SxS with 4 or 5 dogs. I was up a wash and him and his crew came down. Drinking a Coors Light. Think old cowboy boots, dirty white long sleeve shirt, levis and a black sweat STAINED cowboy hat. Surprised he wasn’t chewin’ Born and raised right there in Roosevelt. Never been anywhere ” hell, these critters need feed and water everyday!” Didn’t own the land or cows anymore just worked for the owner. “Just hired help”
This is a nice campground. Quiet and uncrowded. This weekend is Veteran’s Day three day weekend. I’m undecided whether to stay here or move back up to the lake. Maybe stay here till Monday morning and move up to the lake and get a shower than Tuesday start heading towards Tucson and then Organ Pipe National Monument. I’ll decide in the morning. Good night
