Nice campground, if you like condo-style camping. Today it is perfect cause there are no more than 20 RVs in the 208 site campground. Jan-Mar is a zoo. Reservation only and full. Not the place to be.
Nice sunrise. My picture window in my bedroom faces east. Moved my site a couple of rows back. Last night i was out to do something and I turned around and from the light of my steps i see a rattlesnake soaking up the heat from the concrete pad i’m parked on. After getting down from the picnic table I moved it away with my walking pole. Tyler Moore, not a good moment. They i walked down to the bathroom ( with a flashlight on, mr snake) and a big tarantula was hanging from the ceiling over the toilet. Ya, nice place.
Anyway things got brighter in the light of day. Blazed down to the Visitors Center and got some decals and scoped the scenic drives out. A 41 mile and a 21 mile. Took off in the afternoon and rode out the long drive and watched a wicked sunset! Got back in dark again. Tomorrow the Ajo Drive. Got Blaze’s battery charging in the bathroom right now! Good night.
