South i head. 26F this morning. Utah 12 is the road and it kind of splits Grand Escalante area of Utah. Slow curves road and topped out at 9600’ elevation. Took till 2PM to go 125 miles. Decided to stay at Kodachrome Basin SP. $25 per night….. ahhh, no. Not for a place to park Bill and the schooner overnight. BLM land within a mile so I’ll find a cheaper spot to park.

Nice spot was found, solar collector out and now some organization and cleanup. Redecorated the schooner and still working on parts. Anything that wasn’t anchored ended on the floor during the drive on BLM washboard road. Spent a couple of hours finding all the things i threw in at the last. I t feels better now.

I have internet tonight also. So i will be able to update TTRLT, check out future camping and catch up of shit. Got a couple of books downloaded and two cowboy audio books so I’ll be entertained for the next few weeks.

Was going to stay here for a couple of days but still too cold. Need to get off this plateau, i think I’m at 5500’ and forecast is high 20’s tonight. Need to be were low is above freezing. Tomorrow will tell.
