You pronounce Hueco like Huevos Ranchero. It’s a tough one. Lots of pictographs, lots of contemporary graffiti, within the last 60 years or so. As tight as they control everything they must have had a vandal problem in the past. This is our past. We don’t have a lot of castles so we need to preserve what we have because we are loving it to death.

Little bit of bike riding, little bit of hiking, little bit of showering, all in all not a bad spot. Topped up the water in the schooner and ready to go early tomorrow morning. Big mile day tomorrow over 250. Dishes washed up, water bottles filled up and just need to make tea to go. This is west Texas all the road are less traveled. I’m going to try to average another 5 mph faster on this leg. I have been a bit pokey at times. We’ll see.
