It was nice at Pancho Villa SP but not much to do. So i decided to head for Arizona. I use a app called AllStays Camp & RV. The best app for finding secluded camping sites. There is a USFS campground call Sunny Flats in the Chiricahua Mountains of SE Arizona. The area where Geronimo surrendered to General Miles. That’s were I’m headed for a day or two. Not. Once i got there, the weather was high 60’s during the day and low 30’s at night. Sunny and warm and good biking roads and nice hiking paths so I’ve decided to stay for four days. My spot gets good sun for 5-6 hours and there is plenty to do. Need to turn the heater on in the mornings. If the schooner is below 45F in the morning I turn the heater on. Above 45F it warms up enough just making tea and doing dishes. That being said the last few days in Texas i had the heater on both in the morning and evening.
I’ve decided to stay another few days here which necessitates a trip into Douglas Az for groceries and a propane refill. There is a small museum just off the highway “Chiricahua Desert Museum that i want to stop at on my way back from Douglas. Nice early morning drive on perfect roads less traveled. There is no cell service in this area. Haven’t been in contact for 4-5 days. Close to Douglas my phone finally picks up a signal and downloads a couple hundred emails and some text messages. Found WiFi at Rangers.
