Texas Weather

Got everything taken care of at Jacks. It Sunday and i leave tomorrow. I was going to stay to the middle of West Texas but their is a Winter Storm Warming for the next couple of days so I’m going to go more south to stay warm and dry.

Overcast on Monday and I’m headed to Seminole State Park close to the Pecos River. A bit of  a long day, just over 250 miles. Windy and cold. Tried for a walk but it was so windy and cold my calf started to act up and only got a mile or so before i headed to the schooner. The weather has creep further south but Ft Davis Park is about 100 miles away and it looks to be okay. Not. Freezing rain and hoar frost on everything. Looks like Guadeloupe National Park is mid 70 and it’s about 150 miles away. Off i go but the weather just is a POS, i can’t believe Guadeloupe NP is in the 70s. I double check….oh crap, you spell it Guadalupe. I was checking Guadeloupe NP in Puerto  Rico.

Okay,  i turn west because I’m done in Texas and drove to Pancho Villa Park in New Mexico. Ten hours of not fun driving and 465 miles. It was 65F and sunny when i finally stopped for the day. Yea! What i anticipated as a weeks worth of time to cross Texas turned into two days. But it sunny where I’m at and that’s what counts. We’ll see what tomorrow brings.

Didn’t even take any pictures. Ahh, it’s water over the bridge warmer times coming!
