Friday 9/24
Off to the Range Rider Museum in Mile’s city this morning, then Makoshika State Park. This museum is a must see. If you like western memorbilia, this is the place. Guns, furniture, cowboy hats and boots. Wagons and tools. It took me 3 hours to quickly see everything. A 8×10 picture of the local citizens with their original Hat and cowboy boots circling the main hall. Old time pictures, stories, you name it and was there. The local historian has done a amazing job. Maybe more than one historian. Well worth visiting.
I think i got 100 miles in today. Makoshika SP is a dinosuar spot just outside Glendive Mt. A short bike ride into town from the campsite tomorrow to go to the market. Got a couple of small walks in. A decent spot to stay and see. I wouldn’t drive across Montana to visit but …. Fairly crowded. By this evening all spots were filled. I’m a 2pm-3pm stop kind of traveler. Gives you plenty of time to have a look around and, so far, havn’t had a problem getting a campsite.
I went for a short hike and noticed, what i thought was a girls headband hanging on a fence post by the trailhead. It was nice, but some lady had let it fall off and some good samaritain hung it on a post. I didn’t want to upset my karma so i left it there.
Going to stay here tomorrow and get some walking in.
Oh and walked down in the dark about 10pm to see if the head band was still there. It was and then it wasn’t.
