Friday 11/12
When i leave the campsite to go into town for the day i leave a orange safety traffic cone in Bill’s spot and leave my carpet and chair setup. Even my leveling blocks. I just line back up on them when i get back. From a lounging coffee morning to starting Bill usually is less than five minutes. It is a twisty 1-1/2 lane uuuuup and doooown five mile road to a normal twisty road that circumvents cotton fields for another 10 miles to the highway. Then 10 miles to the course.
Less crowded. Same gig playing two ball but the foursome is behind me this time! Catch a twosome, two miners from the copper mine. Whiskey drinking, cigarette smoking, vape smoking miners. Mid thirties (Cody) and …. maybe sixties(Thor). Thor looked harded used. It was fun! My plan of concentrating and taking my time-out the window. Loud and fun and decent golfers.
Tried having lunch at the “Double R” clubhouse to use their internet but could never hook up. Dang. Back out to Riverview for a couple of days.
