Crazy night. Someone buzzed the campgrounds couple of times, no muffler, about 3AM. Then headed to the border which is about three miles away. The first loop was out of the blue but i could hear them coming on the second loop. Crazy.

Fueled up first thing, $4.88 per gallon.I was starting to disbelieve Bill’s computer average of 14.0 mpg so i did this one with the calculator and it was 13.78. Sorry Bill for a lack of faith.

Stopped at Tractor Supply in El Paso and bought a 1500W electric heater. Most Texas Parks  have Electric and water at site, no sense burning propane if I’m paying for electric.

Hueco Tanks, first time reserving a site over the phone. The only way, you have to call. LOTS of rules! Mandatory video before you can use the park. They could learn a bit about customer relations but got set up and even got a bike ride in. But only on the paved road ‘cause i didn’t have today’s permit to walk the trails…which is free but i have to go get signed in….nice spot none the less. Here for two days then Wednesday head to Big Bend Ranch.
