No shower this morning! Decided to head out and start heading towards Moab. Of course that means 30 some miles out. Beautiful morning, low 60s, it will take a couple of hours to get back to pavement. I haven’t checked in, as you already know, for a few days. I have a new phone holder in the rig and on my way out on the top of a hill my phone lite up! Cool I can check in. Go to messages and Allie had just texted me. Sent out a message or two while the coverage was good cause mostly it is spotty. I try to be regular on check ins.
About 15 miles from pavement there was a sign for “Devil’s Garden” but better yet 1/4 mile. I try to stop and get a hike in every morning. Sometimes short, sometimes long. Devil’s Garden is a garden of Hoodoos! No shit, google it! I have also found out that if you do things early you miss the crowds. One car besides the rig. Nice hike with nice views!
Sooo, I’ve checked in and if I WANTED to, I could go back off pavement for a day or two….Never saw anything that interested me and ended up in Capitol Reef NP. What a drive, Utah 12 is as nice as it gets in Canyon Country! I kept pulling over at one super view site after another.
Paid for two nights. Sat on my picnic bench this afternoon, had a cup of cinnamon tea and got caught up on these updates. Hot dogs for dinner with a glass of whiskey on the rocks! Tomorrow get my bike cleaned up.
