Sunday 2/11
Woke up to a foggy misty morning. High 30’s. Didn’t get up till 8. Not going anywhere today really, so if it stays like this it will be a stoner day. Got lil buddy out and fired him up. 56 in the schooner. I want to go out and walk but i don’t want to be cold. I have enough layers for -10 but no gloves. Cold, wet, windy. Normally i move when the weather gets crummy. Looks like just today, tomorrow back mid to high 60s. It’s about 10am right now and i just reinstalled the reflective bubble wrap on all the windows. I’ll just hunker down for the day. Sitting next to the dinette windows is already better with the bubble wrap in.
Battery needs a charge. Takes less than a minute to get the Yamaha out, started and plugged into the schooner. I’ll let it run for a hour. Solar wouldn’t of worked today! Just walked up to the outhouse. Windy & cold. All the cold weather gear i put away, back out. I’m still going fishing today. I did a little reading on fishing the weeds. We’ll see.
Completely updated on TTRLT.N, maybe it should be ttrlt.n? Or ttrltn. My mind keeps drifting back to the big empty. Maybe on the way back. I think I’ll head to the gulf using SP’s. Texas does a nice job on SPs. Left Uncle J a voice mail. I just need schooner water and good to go. Okay, goin to dress for battle and head out.
Three layers, stocking cap and i found leather gloves. i also have packet hand warmers. Fishing pole, green chair, binos, camera. No stick, no Exos. Not as foggy but still windy. After a little studying i rig my pole with a Texas rig. Should pull thru the weeds and not snag. If i can get out of the wind it should be fine.
Did some fishing but no catching. Did see one forlorn boat out in the mist. Think Freddy from Godfather II. Hunched over, chins tucked in. Tried to get to the base of the bridge but it became a big PITA. Said too many times, WTH what are you doing here? Think massive thicket with lots of sharp points. Finally made it up to the road bead and headed back. My Achilles’ tendon is sore on my right ankle now. Getting old ain’t for sissies. I had a nap when i got back!
Down loaded Cormac McCarthy -The Crossing, interesting. It’s nice to have internet. Everything is charged up, i got plenty of fuel for lil buddy, a good book or two and enough food for days. Let’s see what tomorrow brings. good night!
