Sunday 3/19
Zzzzzzz, lazy day. Took a bike ride this morning back out to where all the maps of the trails are posted. This area is mainly off-road vehicles, jeeps, pickups and a few mountain bikers.
There was a fork when I came in so I rode my bike out it. Real sandy, hard to pedal, bit unstable but I found another camping spot that was more secluded and shady. As I rode back to the rig I noticed the whole area was clearing out and decided to stay put. Where I’m at is close to the hills. Worked on the blog off and on during the day and wonders of wonders, posted on Facebook!
I think to much responsibilities to reply when you post on Facebook so think I will stay closer to here. I already have a comment from Renae, how she ended up there is a mystery to me. I have only messaged the group about it.
I’m working hard on really seeing stuff on my walks. Not the grand views but the plants and stones and tracks, really stopping and looking. I know, I know…., here is what I do know, I’m seeing some interesting stuff.
My camera is working great! I sometimes wish it had a viewfinder. Seeing the screen can be tough in the sun. It fits in my pocket easily and it sends the pictures to my ipad wi-fi connection. I’m going to play around with it a little more. I have some go-pro video that I will post.
My plan tomorrow is to leave early, spend some time in Moab, get a shower somewhere, find a campsite with some good biking and stay awhile. We’ll see.
