Saturday 11/10

I thought i might see more rigs in this CG since it was a Friday night last night, but nope. On the road about 8 and the girls FaceTimed just as i was leaving. So pulled over, got my hearing aids out and talked to Olga Wetbutt and Ginger Coldtoes. Harper was looking excited to go out and play in the snow, not so much Maci. Nice to talk to them.

The sun is shining but it is still cold and windy. Took my time down US101. Not much traffic this morning. Went by a couple of spots i might normally stopped at but i want to be on my way tomorrow so i need to leave some time for Kevin today.

Kevin is staying at a little private RV park on the Rouge River, maybe 5 miles from Gold Beach. Meant Hal the owner and he let me use the site right next to Kevin. Oh, for $25.00, he let me use it. But i got power and I’ll be able to dump tomorrow before i leave. Kevin has a nice setup, 24’ trailer and his Dodge 2500 diesel for hitting the fishing areas. We did a little exploring, bullshitting and had dinner at a nice local place.

The Rouge river is a popular area for steelhead and salmon. It’s a big river. Kevin has been spending his time fishing. I might come back over when they run. Brandon Dunes golf course is about 25 miles away. It was 43F when i went by it. To cold for me to golf.

Off early tomorrow, so in bed by 8:30.
