Sunday 9/22

 

 

Slept well. A wonderful sunset last night that I totally underwhelmed with the magic camera. This morning’s journey is pursuit of a shower. Flaming Gorge is a reservoir mostly so there are campgrounds and marinas and that is where I think I will get a shower today….. Not to be.

 

But found (?) a CG up a canyon with spawning kokanee salmon  filling the stream, a nice nature trail a bike ride away and a bridge within walking distance. $6.00 but no fishing. Got site #10, got the solar out and quietly went about getting it hooked up and generating power. Walked up the canyon on paved road about 3/4 mile to a small bridge. Lots of fish.

 

Got back and cleaned the range top. Cleaned the vacuum. Read outside for awhile and enjoyed the sunshine. Got the bike out and rode down to the nature trail. I’m happy my bike is easy to get down and ready to go. That being said, a little TLC is in order.

 

Had a fire tonight! It was finally warm enough to have a fire and sit out there. This is a nice spot. Other than the two nights in Lewis Lake, I’ve had great spots! Both free and paid. But first fire! Yea! Most times I don’t go to the trouble of a fire. If it’s cold enough you NEED a fire, it’s too cold to sit outside.
