Still a lot of people camping. Must have been 30 rigs go thru the CG yesterday afternoon and evening. You have to be quite the optimist to check the first CG past Moab at 6:30pm. Today I get going nineish. A guy took my spot as I left. The road that goes thru Castle Valley is paved and circles back behind Moab. 25mph road. Winds up thru the canyon and gets about 8500′. A CG at the top that I drove thru, nobody there. Cold! Came down the backway into Moab and checked out Sand Canyon biking area. Lots of camping there also.

Updated the blog and got some postcards off. Drove south to Monticello and camped just in the foothills. Tiny bit of snow that wasn’t here last week when I came thru. Heater is on and Natural Bridges NM is my next journey then Valley of the Gods. Valley of the Gods is 4000′ so headed in the right direction. Good night.
