I’m situated now right on the edge the plateau and today I’m going down off it. A quiet drive without much traffic. Payson, Az is the big town in the area. The weather should be warmer….
Lots of choices to camp at the lake. I see dispersal campers at the head of the lake and a big campground, 216 sites, and that’s just in the first mile or two. The lake is 22 miles long. Looking at my camping app, lots of places. Choose the campground. Starting to see more debit/credit card, think Missoula parking kiosk, payment areas in the bigger campgrounds. Alls fine till they go down. Pay for two nights @ $12.50 ea.
WTF, no water, no toilets. Broken line that they are hunting. Should say lines. Oh well, I’m right on the lake with a saguaro cactus looking at me when I’m sitting at the table, it won’t be so bad. But I will move on Tuesday.
Mike, not to worry, I found the grey stocking cap or maybe I should say it found me. Yesterday morning, when I woke up it was lying right next to me. I had searched fairly diligently, I thought, but …..
Took a couple of short walks on the trail by the lake. It got to 80F! Yea! My knee is feeling better. But I’m still on restriction. Tomorrow, hmmm, walk to the marina or maybe bike. Hang out, clean up, read. The usual. Good night.
