Real quiet this morning. Moving about 10 miles today. This makes for a relaxing morning with no haste in anything I do…..not that much different than most of my mornings. Wheels rolling by 10am and a slow climb out of the canyon. I get to the Interpretive site and get 2 out of 3 arcs on the wifi. I start my phone download and it says 4 days till complete. Hmmm. I let it go and start updating ttrlt.n with my laptop. The blog seems to be loading fast enough…. Look at my phone it says 15 hours. Start my ipad update, it doesn’t take any time at all. Hmmm. Get the blog all updated including pictures {which loaded fast). Check my phone and it says three hours. This new update is BIG. I have lunch and it’s to 21 minutes! I hold there till it is downloaded and it takes awhile to update. Good, all my computer stuff is up to date.

Head to Tonto National Monument which is a couple of miles down the road. Another interesting cliff dwelling. The Tonto basin was occupied by 3-4 thousand people between 1300-1450. Some in these cliff dwelling, some in huts, some in caves. This was a high commerce spot for trading in all directions. Very interesting location.

The campground is less than a mile away. Bought one night. $12.50. Got a NICE shower. Made chicken and rice with fresh tomatoes for dinner. Tomorrow I think I will head SE to Safford. About 130 miles from here. This is a spot I have been to before. Spent a week here 2-3 years ago. Nice camping {$2.50) and a nice golf course.( well, not that nice really but …) I’m thinking till the end of the week than start heading west. I think a kayak is in the future. Just need to figure out how to carry it. We’ll see. Good night.
