Tuesday 4/18

Wasn’t going to leave early. But by 7:15 I was ready to go, said my good-byes and rollin’. Hwy 95N- two lanes each way then I40 towards Kingman.

Tried a couple of frontage roads, one was a POS paved #.5. Did I turn around….no. Gutted it out for 10 miles. Did I learn my lesson? No. Saw a frontage road that wasn’t on my maps (this should of been a warning sign) Next place I could get to it , I did. Started taking me slowly but surely away from the Interstate. Hit a crossroad that would head me back towards I40. Stop look at my maps and try to find the intersection….. not always easy. Can’t figure it out but it’s going in the general direction I want to go and is #2 / #3 gravel…….#10 washboard. I HATE washboard. You know those roads that head off into the hills when you are driving down the interstate and you wondered where they go? They go nowhere, the cool thing is, I know.

Eventually make it to Kingman and Cerban Cliffs GC. Nice facility, chipped, putted, small bucket and walked 9. Windy. I hit some nice shots today. Finished, got a In&Out burger and headed north on 93.

Tonight Packsaddle Campground, tomorrow Valley of the Fire just south of Mesquite.
