Sunday 9/17

Sunday 9/17

Got up and got going in the morning headed over Rodger’s Pass then north towards Augusta. There is a scenic byway that takes off at the bottom of the pass, MT435. Looks …okay. “All Season” gravel road. About 35 miles up the Front to Augusta. Twenty-six in to it, had to turn around, just got too muddy to chance.
Get back to MT200 and head north at Bowman’s Corner to Augusta. Nice drive. Moseyed over towards Conrad thru Choteau, then finally on US2 heading east. Tried two or three “All Season” gravel roads to get to some fishing access but too muddy. Decided to stay on pavement till it REALLY dries up. Just outside Havre a Department of Reclamation access site on the Milk River, on a paved road and no fee.
Finally got after the refer. Pulled the front apart and the back off of it to get to the controls. Nothing seemed to work. Decide I would just clean the flame sensor and spark igniter and put it back together. If it doesn’t work, I’ll head home tomorrow. Nothing. Oh well, that’s the way this trip has started.
Okay, one more time and this time make sure everything perfect. Walk out to check one last time and button everything up on the outside and …good to go, baby!
Cooked a nice dinner. Doubled-checked the refer ’cause it’s taking awhile to come up to temp but I’ll let it go overnight.
